Book 5 Update, Teaser, and Title Reveal!
WOW. Has it really been 3 months since my last blog post on here?!
I guess time really flies when you're hard at work writing!
While my original goal was to have Terraria Legends book 5 out this month, I came to realize that it wouldn't be possible without making compromises in either the story itself or the illustrations and cover artwork; neither of which I was willing to tone back.
As a result, what a better way to start the new year out than with the release of book 5!
I don't have the exact release date pinned down yet, but it will 100% be out the first or second week of January 2019! (Barely 2 weeks!!)
I know everyone's been anxious for the next book to be released, and as a reward for everyone who's stuck with me this far, I'm releasing a teaser from book 5 and revealing its official title!
First, the title:
Book 5 is now: Terraria: Mechanical Menace (Legends Book 5)!
(On a side note, I'm really torn between two potential titles, so that could change last minute!)
As always, fans of my books (and fans of the game!) may not be surprised what lies in wait for our hero during this adventure!
But enough chit-chat; here's your little taste of what's coming in two weeks!
From Chapter 2 in Terraria: Mechanical Menace
“A year?” I asked back in disbelief.
I couldn’t believe it had been that long since I had left everything behind. It hurt hearing the names of my friends and the names of those horrible monsters I fought.
Once I defeated the Wall of Flesh, everyone thought the Hallow would be our savior, but it wasn’t. Instead of destroying the Corruption like we all hoped it would, the Hallow became locked in a stalemate against the newly empowered Corruption. Anywhere the two forces met, the land became locked in a literal standoff between the two unstoppable forces; neither one could overtake the other.
The land between the Hallow and the Corruption was a different story. Neither force showed any mercy for the “normal” land that lay between the two. Just as the Corruption lives up to its name and “Corrupts” everything in its path, the Hallow twists and warps everything in its way to fit its own image.
